POWER & CONTROL CABLES

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Armor-X is a newly improved continuously-welded armored cable that boasts strength, endurance, and flexibility, meeting the demands of the most challenging jobs withoutcracking the armor. Additionally, this cable offers a smaller diameter and lighter weightthan the competition, facilitating easier installation, even in tight corners and areasrequiring multiple bends. It is designed for use in Classes I, II, and III, Division 1 and 2hazardous locations covered under NEC Articles 501, 502, and 503.

The cable is applicable for medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) continuous use, with a corrugated aluminum armor that provides a sheath impervious to moisture, liquids, and gases. It is flame retardant, UL-listed for cable tray use, suitable for directburial, sunlight-resistant, and can be installed at temperatures as low as minus 40 °C.The continuous aluminum sheath meets the grounding requirements of NEC 250-122 innon-HL (non-hazardous location) areas. The cable features proven, flexible EPRinsulation and SOLONON low smoke, non-halogen polyolefin jackets.

Benefits of ARMOR-X include:

Twice the flexibility and endurance compared to other armored products.

Low bending force to withstand greater pressure.

Similar flexibility resistance to other products.

Smaller diameter and lighter weight.

Compatible with all standard hardware.

The cable is manufactured and tested in accordance with the latest revisions of variousstandards and specifications, including UL 1072, UL 2225, UL 1309, ABS Listed asCWCMC, ICEA S-93-639 (NEMA WC 74) for Shielded Power Cable, ICEA T-29-520 forVertical Tray Flame Test, IEEE 1202/FT4 for Flame Testing of Cable in Cable Tray, andAEIC CS-8.
